Participants will develop an understanding of the key role they can play in helping groups get their messages across and influencing commissioning processes so that commissioners want to work with the third sector and create opportunities to do so.
- Putting yourself in the commissioner’s shoes
- How to reach out to and influence commissioners
- Marketing to the public and beneficiaries
- Marketing services affected by personal budgets
- How support providers have marketed groups to commissioners
Delegates will gain an understanding of where and how they can influence the commissioning cycle including. They will gain an understanding of what drives commissioners; what they are looking for and the delivery pressures they are under. As a having the ability to clarify their ‘offer’ to commissioners and how to develop a marketing strategy based on this and the capability to establish and maintain productive relationships with commissioners.
