Why is our work needed?

ACEVO provides a wide range of bespoke services for third sector chief executives and senior managers. By supporting and developing, connecting and representing third sector leaders, ACEVO has become renowned for its work and is often the first port of call for chief executives when help, guidance, support or advice is needed. The chief executive position is often solitary, with few opportunities for peer support.

ACEVO addresses this problem by:

Connecting members through regular networking events
Mentoring schemes and a Members’ Directory

ACEVO also works hard to represent the third sector by:

Influencing policy makers, national and sector press
Encouraging and facilitating debate on issues which matter most to chief executives
Establishing a Professional Standards Committee of ACEVO members

These services and many more are just some of the reasons why ACEVO's work is is needed.
