Civil Society Relay Project ACEVO is working with Euclid Network and Stimulus Pakistan on the Civil Society Relay Project. This project aims to create an informal network of global third sector leaders to assist them in creating their own national professional associations. This will empower them to be more effective, professional and innovative, and will help strengthen global civil society.
Leader’s associations are especially relevant in the ‘global south’, where projects and organisations are widespread but they often lack the profits of a partnership. These advantages include capacity enhancement, professional development and representation. In a joined-up third sector, leaders can also work on sharing innovation and good practice. Together they can create governance standards and enshrine codes of practice, hence increasing transparency and trust in the sector.
