Marketing Intern
The ACEVO Marketing team is currently seeking an effective and efficient Marketing Intern who will play a key role in supporting the Marketing team whilst assisting in the delivery of marketing functions.
Applicants must be able to work for three months at the office hours. A probationary period of one month must be completed. A daily allowance for lunch and travel expenses will be provided. Ongoing roles and opportunities may be offered to the successful candidate upon successful completion of the internship depending on position availability and candidate suitability.

Full Time, Permanent, London based
ACEVO is looking for Director of Member Services to lead the delivery and development of ACEVO’s member services. We need somebody who will ensure that we deliver the services required and valued by our members, and also help ACEVO identify and deliver membership growth opportunities. Specifically the person will lead the membership services, membership and marketing communications and events.
Main areas of responsibility
Membership Engagement
- Lead on the strategic development of the membership engagement plan and membership offer
- Work with colleagues internally to ensure that the organisation has a member focus at its core.
Customer Service
- Oversee membership processes to ensure they are member focused and carried out in the most efficient way internally.
- Oversee the development of the Raiser’s Edge database and website front end to ensure it delivers for members, other customers and maximum efficiency internally.
Events Programme
- Ensure that the ACEVO events programme (which delivers around 150 events a year) meets members needs and is commercially viable.
- Work with the team to continually refresh the events approach, ensuring that new techniques and technologies are embraced.
Member and Marketing Communications
- Ensure that ACEVO’s communications to members deliver value and are engaging and appealing.
- Oversee membership recruitment campaigns.
- Manage the ACEVO brand image.
Senior Management
- Be an active member of the SMT group.
- Report upwards to the Board on relevant items at trustee meetings.
- Effectively manage budgets and input into wider organisational strategy
- Line management of events and membership team
Internal relations
- Ensure that the membership, marketing and events functions are well integrated internally.
- Set up internal communications (meetings etc) to ensure that teams work collaboratively.
Knowledge and Experience
- Senior Management experience
- Experience of working for a membership body
- Strategic thinking skills, combined with an practical hands on approach
- Empathy with the voluntary sector

- Good people management skills
- Good presentation skills, ability to represent ACEVO externally
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
