The Conservative Party Third Sector Summit

Overview

Location:       Westminster, London
Date:            18 March 2010
Time:           10:00 - 16:00
Price:           £90 (Third Sector)
                   £200 (Corporate/Public Sector)

As with any opposition Party, it's sometimes difficult to see behind the headlines and get a detailed sense their vision for the third sector if they form a government. This one-off event mixes keynote addresses from the most senior Conservative figures through to public 'roundtable' discussions between front-bench representatives and third sector chief executives who have been harvesting ideas and case studies to present and debate. This will provide stimulating and educative sessions where participants and the audience alike can really get under the hood and into the detail of Conservative thinking, and come away with a true sense of what it would mean for your organisation should the next election result in a new government.

Speakers Include:

  • Alan Duncan MP
  • Andrew Lansley MP
  • Andrew Selous MP
  • The Rt Hon Francis Maude MP
  • Maria Miller MP
  • Nick Hurd MP
  • Nick Gibb MP
  • The Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP
  • Philip Hammond MP

Before the summit George Osborne MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, will be making an important special statement.

Topics Covered

  • Third sector's potential contribution to public services
  • How the third sector can achieve better quality and greater efficiency across the board
  • How to achieve better quality in health and social care
  • How to achieve better quality in children's services and schools
  • Tackling unemployment, and reducing re-offending
