Join the Great Debate

New Publication Launched at ACEVO Annual Conference 2008

Ahead of the Government / Third Sector summit being held Monday 24th November, ACEVO has called for a ‘great debate’ and a drive for discussion of the big ideas on how Government can support the third sector through the recession.

The upcoming summit is an important opportunity for us to thrash out a package of Government support, not only so that we can survive the recession, but to lay foundations for the future development of the sector after the recession has passed.

ACEVO is trying to kick-start the debate with some ideas of our own. This is an important time, and your contribution matters. Please tell us what you think of our ideas and let us know about your own by clicking here.

On Friday 28 November ACEVO held its Annual Conference at London ExCel. Delegates attended the conference and listened to speakers including Neil Parker, Economist, Royal Bank of Scotland Global Banking & Markets and Campbell Robb, Director General of the Office of the Third Sector.

Speakers discussed how to engage third sector boards in strategic planning and how to steer organisations through an economic downturn.

At our Annual Conference, we also launched our newest publication - Creating change: Chief Executives on strategic planning. If you did not get the chance to purchase the publication on the day, it is available for purchase here.

Special thanks to all sponsors who helped make the day another huge success. We look forward to seeing you at our next conference!
