Government accepts proposals to modify nhs reforms
The Government has accepted the bulk of the proposals by the NHS Future Forum, which recommended a series of modifications to the Government's NHS reforms.
The NHS Future Forum, a group of experts asked to consider how the NHS reforms could be improved, earlier presented its report to the Cabinet.
Sir Stephen Bubb, CEO of ACEVO, chaired the panel on choice and competition. His section of the report recommended that the Government continue to use competition to drive up quality and provide choice, but proposed a number of changes to ensure competition serves the interests of citizens rather than becoming an end in itself.
