Join the Great Debate

ACEVO Expands Network in the North of England

Ahead of the Government / Third Sector summit being held Monday 24th November, ACEVO has called for a ‘great debate’ and a drive for discussion of the big ideas on how Government can support the third sector through the recession.

The upcoming summit is an important opportunity for us to thrash out a package of Government support, not only so that we can survive the recession, but to lay foundations for the future development of the sector after the recession has passed.

ACEVO is trying to kick-start the debate with some ideas of our own. This is an important time, and your contribution matters. Please tell us what you think of our ideas and let us know about your own by clicking here.

ACEVO, the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations will officially launch its expansion in the English northern regions with three high profile receptions during October.

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund and Capacitybuilders, ACEVO is expanding its support and advice services to chief executives in the North East, North West and Yorkshire and Humber.

Stephen Bubb, Chief Executive of ACEVO said,

‘Our members based in the north of England have found it difficult to access many of the services we run from London. Now I am delighted we are in a position to offer accessible leadership support in the three northern regions and the kind of high profile networking events with key politicians and top decision makers that are enjoyed by ACEVO members in London.'
