David is an author, broadcaster, and regular columnist for the Times. He has written 'Paddling to Jerusalem' and 'Voodoo Histories: the role of Conspiracy Theory in Modern History'. He has produced 'No Excuses for Terror', a documentary criticising how the anti-Israel views of the far left have permeated the mainstream media and political discourse in the UK; Blaming the Jews, a 45-minute documentary film that evaluates anti-Semitism in Arab media and culture; and 'God and the Politicians', a documentary film that looks at the important question of the increasing religious influence on politics in the UK.

David is chair of the Index on Censorship which promotes freedom of expression, and he has given lectures on freedom of expression online, and commented on the phone hacking scandal.

The Learning with Leaders series of lunches is proudly delivered in association with CCLA. These events are designed to be intimate and informal, under Chatham House rules.
