Putting values to work
This one day workshop will explore what values are, how they function and where they can be brought to life.
There are times when values get bad press: organisations who proudly proclaim that 'respect' or 'honesty’ are core to their practice are exposed as treating staff badly or misleading their stakeholders. Contrary to popular belief this does not mean the organisations have no values or that they have the wrong values. It does mean however that whatever their values are, coherence about how to live them up and down, inside and out, is missing.
In this one day workshop we will explore:
- What values are and what they are not
- How values function in how we think, decide, act and react and we shall touch upon the power of storytelling through values
- Where values can be deliberately and consistently brought to life including:
- Leadership and Management
- Recruitment and Selection
- Induction and Performance Management
Using a blend of theory, exercises and case studies Jackie Le Fèvre will take us through the main things she has learned from more than 13 years of specialising in consciously values based practice much of which has been, and continues to be, with voluntary and community sector clients.
