Topic: Leading through change
Speaker: Arvinda Gohil

'Change is inevitable and can be good’, is something we often say or hear when we're confronted with impeding, unavoidable – and not always desired – change. As leaders, we not only need to convince ourselves, but also our staff, board and stakeholders, that change can be positive, is doable and can bring great benefits. But how to transform such an elusive concept into a tangible change programme or project? In this session, Arvinda Gohil will talk about leading and managing through change: from developing the business case for it to happen, to how to design and set targets to measure its impact – on people using the support and services, and on staff, board and other stakeholders. She’ll also tap into:

  • The role of trustees
  • Communication through the change process
  • Dealing with the unexpected
  • Celebrating and recognising success
  • Assessing and articulating the impact of change
