Digital member meetings

Our digital member meetings are a great opportunity for you to virtually meet peers from across the country to exchange ideas, issues, challenges and experiences in an informal way.

These events will be run as a Zoom meeting with cameras and microphones on. They are not recorded.

Friday 29 October, 16:00 – 17:00

Round off the month with an informal gathering of leaders, to check-in with one another and share learning. This monthly one hour get-together via Zoom, hosted by ACEVO’s head of member support, Tom Andrews, is a space to pause, reflect and connect.

Tuesday 16 November, 15:00 – 16:00

This virtual meeting is an opportunity for ACEVO full (CEO) members and WCVA members in Wales to connect with each other, share issues and challenges.

Wednesday 17 November, 14:00 – 15:15

A meeting for registered ACEVO mentors to share insights and learning. The session will involve a guest speaker, a short breakout group discussion and a chance to share expertise and tips.

Wednesday 17 November, 15:30 – 16:45

How should you respond to struggles with your chair and board? This meeting is for members who need to press the pause button and think about their relationship with their chair and/or board.

Tuesday 23 November, 11:00 – 12:30

Our chief executive Vicky Browning and head of membership Anne Wallis will talk you through the member benefits, how to access them and answer any questions you may have.

Friday 26 November, 16:00 – 17:00

Monday 6 December, 11:00 – 12:00

The session will discuss what ‘good’ flexible working looks like, how to begin those conversations with staff and employers, and highlight useful resources as well as examples of good practice.

Wednesday 8 December, 14:00 – 15:00

This session tackles a widespread misunderstanding about the role of empathy in our work, and gives you a deeper understanding of the impact working with distressing realities has on your health and wellbeing. Attendees will leave with practical tools to help them better navigate the emotional impact of their work.

Wednesday 8 December, 15:30 – 16:45

Come together with other new chief executives – who have been in post for less than a year – to share and reflect on the experience of leading an organisation at this time of change.

Monday 13 December, 11:00 – 12:00

This meeting will consider the structures, processes and behaviours needed for great governance in the modern world.

Tuesday 14 December, 14:00 – 15:00

Join Neil Tester and Eve Riley, from the Taskforce on Multiple Conditions to discuss their report You only had to ask: what people with multiple conditions say about health equity and hear how sector leaders can play their part in breaking the vicious circle of inequality.
