Digital member meetings

Our digital member meetings are a great opportunity for you to virtually meet peers from across the country to exchange ideas, issues, challenges and experiences in an informal way.

These events will be run as a Zoom meeting with cameras and microphones on. They are not recorded.

Wednesday 25 May, 14:00 – 15:15

A meeting for registered ACEVO mentors to share insights and learning. The session will involve a guest speaker, a short breakout group discussion and a chance to share expertise and tips. 

Wednesday 25 May, 15:30 – 16:45

Join us to explore the psychological and emotional process of transitions and what it’s like to be in the middle of change. We will then look at four key tools that help cultivate resilience through transition.

Thursday 9 June, 11:00 – 12:15

At this forum, the NLCF wants to talk directly to charity CEOs about how it can build on its work, providing space for people to share what has been good, what could have been better, and what it should be thinking about for the next five years.

Tuesday 21 June, 11:00 – 12:15

This virtual meeting is an opportunity for women leaders to come together and share issues and challenges.

Wednesday 22 June, 14:00 – 15:15

Come together with other new chief executives – who have been in post for less than a year – to share and reflect on the experience of leading an organisation at this time of change.

Wednesday 22 June, 15:30 – 16:45

This event will consider the governance processes needed to identify and manage risk effectively, and the CEO’s role in managing this with the board. There will also be a Q&A session.

Wednesday 6 July, 11:00 – 12:30

Are you a new member of ACEVO? Come along and meet our new chief exec Jane Ide, and other new members, and hear from head of membership Anne Wallis about your member benefits, and how to access them. Anne will also answer any questions you may have. 

Thursday 14 July, 11:00 – 12:15

This is an opportunity to meet and speak with other ACEVO members interested in getting involved with tackling the climate crisis.

Tuesday 19 July, 14:00 – 15:00

With the passing of the Health and Social Care Act in April 2022 ICSs will have a statutory footing from 1 July 2022. Ross Clark, partner, Hempsons,  will give an overview of the ICS structure and the opportunities for voluntary organisations.

Wednesday 20 July, 11:00 – 12:00

We often hear from our members who are starting to think about moving on from their CEO role. In this meeting, we will discuss what you need to think about when planning to leave, both for you and the charity. 

The Friday Review

Friday 29 July, 16:00 – 17:00

Round off the month with an informal gathering of leaders, to check-in with one another and share learning. This monthly one hour get-together via Zoom, hosted by ACEVO’s head of member support, Tom Andrews, is a space to pause, reflect and connect.
