Digital member meetings

Our digital member meetings are a great opportunity for you to virtually meet peers from across the country to exchange ideas, issues, challenges and experiences in an informal way.

These events will be run as a Zoom meeting with cameras and microphones on. They are not recorded.

Thursday 27 January, 11:00 – 12:30

Join us to explore some of the challenges charity leaders face when making decisions about the funding they accept, the partners they work with and how these decisions reflect their organisation’s mission and values. 

Thursday 17 February, 11:00 – 12:00

Topic: Meeting as equals: how charities can embed strengths-based working into everything they do

Join Alex Fox, chief exec, Mayday Trust for this interactive session. He will draw on his work and 2021 paper Meeting as Equals on building asset-based charities in the pandemic era.

Wednesday 23 February, 14:00 – 15:15

A meeting for registered ACEVO mentors to share insights and learning. The session will involve a guest speaker, a short breakout group discussion and a chance to share expertise and tips. 

Wednesday 23 February, 15:30 – 16:45

Who leads on board development? What processes should be in place? What conversations need to happen? This session will outline best practice in these areas, we will also have time for a Q&A.

Thursday 3 March, 11:00 – 12:30

Are you a new member of ACEVO? Our chief exec Vicky Browning and head of membership Anne Wallis will talk you through the member benefits, how to access them and answer any questions you may have.

Wednesday 16 March, 14:00 – 15:15

Come together with other new chief executives – who have been in post for less than a year – to share and reflect on the experience of leading an organisation at this time of change.

This meeting is for members who need to press the pause button and think about their relationship with their chair and/or board. As well as hearing from other CEOs, you will learn some of the more common red flags to look out for.

As the Omicron crisis dials down, join this Arts, Heritage & Culture roundtable for a discussion on survival skills, building recovery, and warding off the Great Resignation.

Wednesday 18 May, 14:00 – 15:00

An opportunity for members working within Faith-based organisations to network and discuss experiences and challenges.
