These events will be run as a Zoom meeting with cameras and microphones on. They are not recorded.

Spot the red flag

Tuesday 10 December, 14:00 – 15:15

Something doesn’t seem quite right, but you can’t quite pinpoint what it is. Whether it’s your relationship with your chair, the board, or your colleagues, something feels off. But with a packed schedule, there’s no time to pause and reflect. This meeting provides the perfect opportunity to hit the pause button, focus, and evaluate your situation.

This interactive workshop is an introduction to mentoring for those who have signed up to be an ACEVO mentor. The session will offer a mixture of information, sharing and practice with peers. We aim for the session to be engaging, participatory and a peer-learning experience. 

Wednesday 22 January, 10:00 – 11:00

A quarterly check-in for members to reflect on the past three months and to plan for the next three months. A safe space for leaders to reflect on their experiences and learning, and to think through priorities and how they want to approach the next quarter.

We are delighted to welcome Sali Hughes, co-founder of Beauty Banks, to our Women in leadership networking event, to share her reflections around setting up, growing and running the charity, and the many ways in which it supports women.

Climate crisis meeting

Wednesday 29 January, 14:00 – 15:00

Gill Perkins, CEO of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust will talk about her experience in leading the Trust, and share her insights around being part of Rethink Nature. Gill will talk about how it was developed, its role in catalysing action across the UK, and how the partner organisations work in coalition to increase impact and aid organisational sustainability.

This session will address particular challenges and opportunities relating to faith and civil society leadership – whether you are a leader of a faith based organisation, a leader interested in exploring how your own faith interacts with your leadership, or any leader with an interest in issues of faith and civil society.

The landscape of procurement law is changing, with new legislation, trends, and priorities set to impact the health and social care sector in 2025. Andrew Daly, head of procurement at leading health, social care and charity law firm, Hempsons is running a new session for health and social care leaders, to give an update on the Procurement Act and also talk about the Providers Selection Regime.

Racism in the workplace is real and harmful for those that experience it. What’s more, is that reporting racism can make things worse. But how do we turn this around – so that organisations come to view reporting racism as integral to becoming anti-racist?
