Faith-based Charities SIG - September

An opportunity for members working within faith based organisations to network and discuss experiences and challenges.

Members will have the opportunity to make connections, build relationships and stand together as testament to the value of faith in our society.

Date: Tuesday 17 September.

Time: 11.45 - 14.00

Venue: Stone King, Boundary House, 91 Charterhouse Street, London, EC1M 6HR

Speaker: Emma Revie, chief executive, The Trussell Trust

Topic: Keeping the Faith

Many faith-based organisations employ staff or volunteers who do not share the faith that sits at the organisation’s heart. So who holds the faith values in an organisation with most staff of different or no faith? What does this responsibility mean for that individual and the organisation? The Trussell Trust is an anti-poverty charity founded on Christian principles. CEO Emma Revie will share her experience of working with the Trust’s staff and volunteers all faiths and none, and her role in keeping the organisation true to its Christian values.
