In February 2018, the government launched an engagement exercise to inform its civil society strategy, which will help to shape its work with and for civil society over the next ten years and beyond. ACEVO worked with members to write a reponse largely covering our four policy pillars, which are:
- regulation
- freedom to campaign
- diversity and inclusion
- commissioning
ACEVO also signed a joint letter to Tracey Crouch, the minister for civil society, calling for a robust and enabling strategy which prioritises:
- ongoing engagement with civil society
- strategic use of funds
