leadership worth sharing
Supporting and investing in inspirational leaders.
ACEVO runs two specific programmes to support civil society leaders so they can inspire their own communities and make the biggest possible difference in other people’s lives, from staff to beneficiaries. Recipients of these programmes receive a fully sponsored ACEVO membership with access to a wide range of benefits, including a mentoring partnership.
The ACEVO Fellowship programme recognises individuals nominated by their peers due to their outstanding contributions to the sector. Civil society leaders are selected by a judging panel to receive a year’s free ACEVO membership, fully funded bursary place on the Leadership Trust’s Leadership in Management Programme, as well as a personalised leadership development plan, an ACEVO mentor, a place at our annual conference and a pack of publications.
The ACEVO Fellowship programme is closed for 2019/20. ACEVO is reviewing, with the Leadership Trust Foundation, the most effective way of providing bursaries for leadership development – in terms of both the resources and time available. Future plans will be announced by January 2020.
To pay homage to the life and legacy of Jane Slowey, an inspiring CEO who was a voice for women in leadership, ACEVO’s memorial membership programme provides expert support, guidance, advice and mentoring for women who are aspiring CEOs or are in their first two years in the role for a charity or social enterprise.
