ACEVO membership is strictly for those working in not-for-profit organisations. Anyone working for a commercial organisation or operating as a sole trader doesn’t qualify for membership.

Full (CEO) member

• CEO (or equivalent) or co-CEO of charities and social enterprises.

Associate member

• Next generation chief executives, who are members of a senior management team, who are line-managed by the chief executive and whose next appointment is likely to be as a chief executive of a voluntary organisation.
• retired chief executives, who are not employed by a commercial organisation or sole traders working in the voluntary sector.
• out of post chief executives, former chief executives of voluntary organisations who are in-between jobs or out of post and who are not employed by a commercial organisation or sole traders working in the voluntary sector.

ACEVO Connect member

ACEVO Connect membership is strictly for those working in not-for-profit organisations with an income of less than £100k. Anyone working for a commercial organisation or operating as a sole trader doesn’t qualify for membership.

ACEVO Connect membership is for:

• CEO or equivalent running an organisation with less than £100k income
• Senior leader working at an organisation with less than £100k income
• CEO in-between roles
• Retired CEO
