Traditional leadership models can place significant pressure on CEOs and senior leaders to carry responsibility, make decisions and drive change alone. Increasingly, leaders are exploring more collaborative ways of working – creating stronger teams, sharing ownership and building organisations that are less dependent on individuals. Yet making that shift in practice can be challenging, requiring new approaches to power, accountability, culture and leadership.

This interactive full-day workshop is designed for charity CEOs and senior leaders who want to build practical confidence in leading more collaboratively. Combining facilitation, peer learning, practical frameworks and real-world case studies, the workshop will help you explore what collaborative leadership looks like in practice — and what it could mean for your organisation. Through facilitated discussion, structured reflection, breakout conversations and coaching practice, participants will have the opportunity to test ideas against their own leadership challenges and learn alongside peers navigating similar questions.

Participants will also complete the Caplor House behavioural preferences exercise, gaining practical insight into how different leadership and communication styles influence collaboration, decision-making and organisational culture. You’ll gain some important insights and experience some practical tools. The workshop will contribute towards you gaining ideas to lead in ways that are more collaborative, inclusive and sustainable.

Throughout the day, you’ll explore:

The workshop includes interactive exercises, real-world case studies, small-group discussions, coaching practice and dedicated time for reflection and action planning.

Why attend?
This workshop is designed to help you move beyond leadership theory and reflection alone. Rather than simply exploring the concept of collaborative leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to test ideas, reflect on your own leadership approach and learn alongside peers facing similar challenges. Through practical tools, facilitated discussion and dedicated reflection time, you’ll leave with increased understanding of collaborative leadership – and clearer ideas about how to apply it in ways that are meaningful, realistic and sustainable for your organisation.
