Online workshop
10 September 2026
09:30-12:30
Charity leaders have been navigating uncertainty for some time. Increasingly, this is creating both the opportunity — and in some cases the necessity — for deep structural change. This brings real and often complex tensions.
This interactive three-hour workshop explores the question: what is our compass in these moments? We will focus on the link between strategic decisions about income mix and cost base, and the trade-offs required to balance purpose, people, and money. Together, we will explore what it means to be a financially resilient charity in today’s context — including how we create the conditions to expand when we can and contract when we need to.
Like a murmuration of starlings, resilient organisations are able to shift shape in response to changing conditions, guided by clear signals and shared understanding.
Through practical tools and shared reflection, this session will support leaders to better understand risk, consider different financial futures, and adapt with greater confidence. The aim is to help leaders stay on track and make clear, values-led decisions, even in the midst of uncertainty.
Feedback on our previous workshop with Liz:
“The presenter was astonishingly good. Such a great pace and also great use of the chat to engage people. The structure was brilliant.”
“Excellent facilitator, kept it engaging, lots of energy, and absolutely spot on understanding of the realities of charity finances… best presentation and discussion on charity finances I’ve heard.”
