The Charity Governance Code was refreshed in November 2025, and is key to support charities in addressing challenges around good governance and behaviours .

As requested by our members we have developed an assessment tool to guide trustees with this, and this is often lead and supported by the CEO.

This tool offers a structure and a series of questions to review each pillar of the Code. It guides you to work through the different elements of each pillar in terms of behaviours; policy, process, and practice; suggested evidence and practice. In each area of work, it will help you to work out the actions needed to progress and note where you are excelling.

This session, led by Jenny Berry and Sarah Talbot-Williams from the ACEVO support team, will introduce you to the assessment tool and help you to start using it to work through the revised Code.

There are limited places available on this event, and it will not be recorded.
