Join us at our online networking session to make connections with leaders across the sector

This is your chance to engage with fellow CEOs, share experiences, and build relationships that extend beyond the boundaries of your organisations. This online gathering offers the space and time to step away from the day-to-day and meet other leaders who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of leadership in civil society.

Whether you’re new to ACEVO or an established member, come along to feel inspired and supported. Also open to non-members who want to connect with peers and find out more about the the ACEVO community.

These sessions aim to:

• enhance connection and community between leaders
• develop peer learning in areas of identified need
• support regional relationship-building among civil society leaders

After a short welcome, you’ll have the opportunity to join a series of breakout sessions, each lasting around 20 minutes, including:

• leader-identified peer learning – informal peer exchange on a shared leadership challenge
• partner-hosted session – a short, practical session with our host partner, Eastside People, on change management
• regional groups – to connect with other leaders in your area
• lived experience networking – groups for global majority leaders, women in leadership, neurodiverse leaders and young leaders.

When you sign up to the event, you’ll be sent a short survey to share the topics you want to talk about and help us shape the event. You are welcome to attend for all or part of the session, depending on your availability.

Jane joined ACEVO in May 2022. She previously headed up Creative and Cultural Skills, working to create fair and inclusive opportunities within the creative and cultural sectors. Before that, she spent four years as CEO of NAVCA, where she led the transformation of the national membership body for local voluntary sector infrastructure organisations in England.  She has leadership and communications experience in both the voluntary and public sectors and a genuine commitment to delivering a valuable and impactful experience for members.

Director of people at Eastside People, heads up its workforce planning and recruitment services. Bernice has a master’s degree in occupational psychology and specialises in the human side of organisations. She has extensive experience in leadership matters and oversees the development of the recruitment service for Eastside People, which includes finding permanent, interim and Board candidates. Bernice believes in inclusive recruitment and has a genuine passion for helping organisations to find exceptional candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. Bernice is a founding trustee at Board Racial Diversity UK, an organisation that seeks to address the under-representation of people from minoritised ethnic groups on trustee boards.
