New resources and services

Publication: Pay and Equalities Survey 2025

Online resource, available to all

ACEVO’s annual Pay and Equalities Survey is the most comprehensive breakdown of the sector’s CEO remuneration packages available. The report examines chief executive salaries, benefits and job satisfaction in detail. It also explores the level of equality and diversity in our sector’s leadership, and satisfaction levels in the make-up and performance of boards.

The ACEVO Pay and Equalities 2025 survey has once again highlighted that key inequalities in charity leadership remain largely unchanged. Despite job satisfaction and commitment amongst our sector’s leaders, this year’s findings reveal persistent inequalities in pay equity and career development, as well as challenges in diversity and wellbeing across the sector.

Blog: Why whistleblowing is a CEO issue

Online resource, available to all

In the charity sector, where trust and transparency are so essential and employee activism is on the rise, getting your approach to whistleblowing right is especially crucial.

When whistleblowing concerns arise, it’s important to act quickly and transparently. If the issue involves serious harm to people, loss of assets, or damage to your charity’s reputation or operations, you may need to submit a Serious Incident Report (SIR) to the Charity Commission and other regulators, depending on what your charity’s activities are. Being proactive in doing so shows you take governance seriously and are committed to protecting your charity and its beneficiaries. Reporting early demonstrates openness and builds trust – with both regulators and stakeholders. Find out more.

Online resource, available to all

Gen Z, those born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s, are generous, engaged, and digitally fluent. They volunteer, fundraise, and use their platforms to champion causes. But when it comes to donating through a charity website, they hesitate.

The problem isn’t generosity. It’s experience. Find out what’s really standing in the way.
