They provide a safe space where our speakers can talk openly and honestly about their own leadership journeys and the lessons they have learned along the way, and for attendees to ask questions about those journeys.

Our guest speaker for this online session, Felicity Oswald OBE, is the new CEO of Girlguiding. Felicity brings over 20 years’ experience working in the public sector – she has held senior public sector roles across national security, crime and policing policy and civil contingencies, and served as Trustee for national charities NCT and Nacro.

Now, Felicity is turning her focus to the next generation. A passionate advocate for girls and women in STEM, Felicity will continue to champion girls’ voices, building on her involvement in initiatives like the CyberFirst Girls Competition at the National Cyber Security Centre, aimed at inspiring girls’ interests in technology. Felicity joins Girlguiding at a pivotal time, bringing her skills and vision to its new strategy as the organisation continues to grow its reach and impact across the UK, aiming to double its size in ten years.

Felicity will talk about bringing her public sector experience into civil society and her early days in this role, inheriting a large organisation – the challenges of expansion and the opportunities to inspire the next generation.

This event will be recorded and available for ACEVO members to re-watch via our Past Events page.
